Atlas Visits the AOG Exhibition & Conference for the First Time

9 March 2016

The Australasian Oil & Gas Exhibition & Conference (AOG) is the industry’s largest annual gathering of oil and gas professionals and industry leaders in Australia. With Atlas’ growing presence in the region, the exhibition provided a platform for Atlas’ Perth office to meet with industry professionals and clients face-to-face.

Introducing Atlas Australia

Attending the Exhibition on behalf of Atlas Professionals were; Ian Marshall (Regional Manager – Perth), Jasmine Adams (Admin & Operations Support – Perth), Alex Meeks (Business Manager – Offshore Survey – UK) and Yana Yusoff (Account Manager – Singapore).

Since opening the Perth office towards the end of last year, the conference allowed Ian Marshall to introduce himself to existing and potential clients in the market.

“It was a great way to build and strengthen Atlas’ network across our core disciplines in the company,” explains Ian Marshall. “The exhibition generated a real buzz and positivity about upcoming projects and how industry leaders are changing with the Australasian market.”

Satisfied Customers

Atlas also visited some of their clients who were exhibiting at the event.

“Viking SeaTech continues to have a great relationship with Atlas Professionals, who have provided brilliant support and service to Viking SeaTech Survey. It was great to see Ian, Yana, Alex and Jasmine at AOG. With Atlas finally being in Perth, I am really looking forward to strengthening the relationship and moving forward with Ian and Atlas Professionals.” Iain Doidge, Chief Surveyor Viking SeaTech.

“Since the end of last year, Atlas has had a presence in Perth. Notwithstanding this being after the Australian boom in the dredging industry and the current difficult times in the industry due to the low commodity prices, I am sure we will use Atlas in the future to further build on the Atlas - Boskalis relation that has been established all over  the world.” - Peter Boere, General Manager Boskalis Australia.

We are proud that Atlas has already had an impact on our clients in the region within this short space of time. With Atlas’ Perth office focusing on multiple disciplines this formal introduction to the region’s industry leaders will ensure future collaborations and new opportunities for Atlas personnel.

First Visit for Offshore Survey

This was also the first visit for Alex Meeks, “It was a great opportunity to meet with existing clients in Australia,” explains Alex Meeks. “Many positive comments were received on Atlas’ services and support to clients in the region, specifically, the availability and local presence of Ian Marshall was very well received.  With connections already made with our Survey companies in Perth, it is great to know that we have Ian on the ground here, available to listen to our clients needs and react at short notice!”

A Welcomed Presence in Perth

Congratulations to Account Manager Yana Yusoff for winning the prize draw at the LNG Darwin Territory stand, where she received an electronic helicopter.

Overall the AOG exhibition was a great experience for the Atlas team.
