The UK’s biggest event in marine science and ocean technology, Oceanology International, has come to a close for another year. However, the buzz of new opportunities in the offshore industry is still alive with companies and professionals alike.
Catching up with the industry
With over 8,000 visitors attending the exhibition, Atlas had a busy three days catching up with clients and introducing our company to some new faces. With our Atlas reps from Offshore Survey & Construction, ROV, Diving & Inspection, Offshore Management & QC and Offshore Wind we had the whole of Atlas’ UK network there to spark interest in our global projects and job opportunities.
Testing subsea knowledge
This year, Atlas were playing host to a number of events at our stand. Atlas’ Oceanology Quiz put participants on the spot, testing them on what they really knew about the industry. We want to thank all of those who took part in the quiz and we would like to congratulate Cedric Meyer, Surveyor BP, on being the overall winner of the quiz and the owner of the Atlas goodie bag.
We would also like to congratulate ROV Specialist Keith Myers, in winning the business card drop and the bottle of Champagne.
Atlas was also lucky to attend MMTs social event, celebrating their 40th anniversary. All visitors were treated to a surprise interview with the founder of MMT Ola Oskarsson and how his passion and curiosity in the marine industry has fuelled the evolution of MMT. We would like to thank MMT for hosting a great evening.
Ready for 2018!
Due to the popularity of this event, Atlas is already preparing for the next Oceanology in 2018 and the exciting events we can have at our stand. Thank you to all those who came to visit us: see you in 2018!
